1 dRachEmUsiK 2017 Live Rig
I'm super happy with the dRachEmUsiK live rig for 2017!
I’m super happy with the dRachEmUsiK live rig for 2017! The new iPad Pro is powerful enough to be able to handle hardware and virtual instruments and processing in real time without a laptop or external mixers. The entire rig can be carried on to an airplane and takes under 15 minutes to set up and break down. Amazing. Cables, DI are stored in the side pocket of the EWI case. All I need from the venue is a single mic stand.
Composition and Pre-production work is being done mostly in Cosmosƒ Saturn and MetaSynth
Hardware:
*iPad Pro, 128 GB
*Zoom U-44 Audio/MIDI Interface
*SoftStep and MIDI Expander
*EWI, analog output
*MarsSynth MSB2
Software:
*Kymatica AUM (mixer), Sector, AudioShare and AUFX
*ApeSoft processing
*LoopyHD
*Addictive Synth

Tacopocalypse - Live improvisations by urbster1, dRachEmUsiK, onewyaness, jmtta
SOMEHOW I figured now was a good time to get the Tacopocalypse music out into the universe.
Tacopocalypse was recorded on 5-19-2012 at Bela Dubby in Lakewood, OH. Bela Dubby was a wonderful art, music, food venue that closed the day after this recording. It was replaced by a Taco place. At some point during the night the closing of Bela Dubby was referred to as The Tacopocalypse.
The two tracks on the release are group improvisations done by Aaron Urbanski aka urbster1, Adam Holquist aka onewayness, Charles Shriner aka dRachEmUsiK and Jason Breitigan aka jmtta.
This is a free download.

Mirrors to the Bonfire
Release Date: 08.29. 2016 onomastic records | MCSD NetLabel
Mirrors to the Bonfire, the latest collaboration from the critically acclaimed duo of onewayness (Adam Holquist/Erie, PA) and dRachEmUsiK (Charles Shriner/Indianapolis, IN), replaces the exuberance and emotional optimism of their last full-length, 2014’s Immeasurable, with emotional ambiguity and complexity, swapping comfort and joy for unsettling, but ultimately rewarding, drama and melancholy.
Mirrors to the Bonfire is a series of meditations on human feedback and the powers of interpersonal interaction. The three long tracks sculpt a polished narrative of conflict and resolution that cycles in and out of warm nostalgia and dark, uncharted territory. Dark analog drones and electroacoustic concrète clatter give way to extended melodic duo explorations for acoustic guitar & electronic wind instrument.
Mirrors to the Bonfire is available as a physical CD or digital download from onomastic records and MCSD NetLabel
0 New release from remst8 & dRachEmUsiK
“Bluestones” is the culmination of dRachEmUsiK (Charles Shriner, Indianapolis, IN) and remst8 (Michael Carlson / Olathe, KS) embarking on a weekend-long adventure in collaborative sound design and music improvisation. This journey began with a strategy to record a series of brief lowercase “micro-compositions”, which would then be woven together into a longer tapestry.
This strategy became obsolete almost immediately.
As sound palettes were created, the duo quickly realized that brief pieces would not provide enough breathing room. Instead, each one was allowed to grow organically from the sounds used—a collection of analog synthesis, digital soft synths, and sample manipulation—fueled by collaborative experimentation.
The end result is a lovely mix of ambient, drone and lowercase soundscapes.

Hosted by Kevin Kissinger and Shane Morris, the KC Regional electro-music.com festival encompasses all styles of electronic music, DIY instruments, performances, collaborations, and demonstrations.
The KC Regional formed from the increasing need for a live performance outlet for experimental electronic music in the mid-western states. The festival is not limited to participants in the region alone, but does seek to consolidate and network with artists in the extended area. The intention is to create a cooperative community where artists and enthusiasts participate and benefit together.
Hosting both stereo and 5.1 surround sound, the Walnut Creek Clubhouse is a wonderful setting just of the Missouri River with the KC skyline on the horizon. The venue has large vaulted wooden ceilings, wonderful lighting, comfy couches, and great acoustics.
